Job Description We are looking for an experienced Analog Design Manager to lead and further develop our analog design team in Prague. This position offers a unique combination of hands-on analog and mixed-signal IC design, technical leadership, and people management. It is particularly suited to a senior analog designer who wants to remain close to the technology while taking responsibility for a small and highly skilled engineering team. The Prague team is part of our global Sensing Division organization and contributes to the development of advanced semiconductor solutions for automotive and industrial sensing applications. Our portfolio includes sensor signal conditioning, inductive position sensing, and emerging connectivity solutions for intelligent sensor systems. The expansion into connectivity is a strategic element of the future product portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately seven analog design engineers and work closely with the local digital design team as well as global engineering, product definition, application, validation, and product management teams. Tasks - Lead, develop, and mentor a team of analog design engineers in Prague, combining technical guidance with direct people management responsibility. - Be actively involved in circuit and architecture development, design reviews, technical problem-solving, and critical design decisions. - Take technical ownership of complex analog and mixed-signal circuits and subsystems for advanced sensor interface and connectivity products. - Contribute to the development of robust physical-layer and data-interface solutions for automotive and industrial applications, without losing sight of system-level sensor requirements. - Guide the team through all phases of IC development, from concept and architecture through circuit design, layout, verification, silicon validation, qualification support, and production ramp. - Establish clear technical ownership, effective design reviews, and consistent engineering methodologies to ensure high-quality, first-time-right silicon. - Build and maintain an effective interface between the Prague team and the wider Analog Design organization. - Support the continued growth of the Prague team by participating in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and developing new team members. Depending on experience relevant technical areas may include: - High-speed and precision analog interfaces - Line drivers and receivers - Analog front ends and signal-conditioning circuits - Clock generation and recovery-related circuits - Data converters and mixed-signal calibration concepts - Filters, amplifiers, comparators, references, biasing, and power-management circuits - Equalization and signal-integrity concepts - Low-noise and low-power circuit design - ESD and I/O protection concepts - Design for robustness across process, voltage, temperature, aging, and automotive operating conditions Qualifications - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics, semiconductor engineering, or a comparable discipline. - Typically 10 or more years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design Additional Information Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose, To Make Our Lives Easier.
