Our partner is a well-established investment firm with a long and proven track record in Venture Capital. Their investment team backs leading VC funds across Europe and the United States, giving them a privileged view of the global technology and startup ecosystem. They are entering a new phase of growth in their Venture Capital activity, and are looking for a Venture Capital Analyst to strengthen the investment team in Barcelona. Mission: As a Venture Capital Analyst, you will play a key role across the entire investment cycle, from finding and analysing new opportunities to monitoring the portfolio and reporting to investors. You will join a small, senior team with no intermediate layers. That means real responsibility from day one, direct contact with top-tier VC managers on both sides of the Atlantic, and a clear path to grow as the activity scales. The Role: Investing - Identifying and mapping VC funds and managers in Europe and the US, with a focus on early-stage technology - Carrying out due diligence on fund managers: strategy, team, track record and terms - Preparing investment memos and presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee - Supporting the team in negotiating and closing new commitments Portfolio Management & Monitoring - Tracking the portfolio: capital calls, distributions, valuations and capital accounts - Building and updating portfolio models and key metrics (TVPI, DPI, MOIC, IRR, cash-flow forecasts) - Analysing the underlying startups within the portfolio - Managing and getting value from internal data on funds, managers and companies Reporting - Preparing regular investor reports - Creating analysis and presentations for senior leadership What we need: - 2–4 years in Venture Capital, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, Strategy Consulting or a finance role in a startup - Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field - Advanced Excel skills: financial modelling, large datasets and building models from scratch - Hands-on use of AI tools in your daily work to automate analysis, extract data from documents and speed up research - Fluent Spanish and English, since English is used daily with international fund managers - Analytical mindset, rigour and attention to detail - Autonomy, organisation and a proactive, builder attitude - Real passion for technology, startups and Venture Capital - Availability to work on-site in Barcelona Nice to Have - Engineering background - Master's degree or financial certifications (CFA, CAIA or similar) - Previous exposure to fund investing or manager selection What we offer: - Competitive salary + performance bonus - Permanent, full-time position with a clear growth path within the investment team - Direct exposure to top VC managers in Europe and the US - Full investment cycle from day one in a lean team where your work is visible - The chance to grow with a solid firm entering a new growth phase in Venture Capital
