RF Test Engineer – Ground Segment ROLE OVERVIEW As a Ground Segment RF Test Engineer, you will support the integration, validation, and testing of satellite communication systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to ensure RF compatibility and mission readiness. RESPONSIBILITIES - Perform RF compatibility testing between ground segment systems and satellites - Support integration and validation of new features and services - Configure, operate, and maintain RF test equipment - Manage customer-provided hardware (e.g. transceivers, engineering models) - Develop and execute test procedures and produce technical test reports - Collaborate with software, DSP, and operations teams - Provide technical support to customers during RF test campaigns REQUIREMENTS Must-have - Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field - 3–5 years of experience in RF or telecommunications engineering - Experience with satellite communication systems or ground segment operations - Strong understanding of RF systems and testing methodologies - Experience in working with with Linux/Ubuntu environments - Fluent in English Nice-to-have - Knowledge of RF test equipment and measurement techniques - Python scripting skills - Familiarity with Safran tools (CRT, CORTEX, NURON, SATCORE) - Experience working with international customer - Previous experience in technical coordination, project leadership, or team leadership WHAT WE OFFER - A flat and collaborative organizational structure - A fast‑paced and professional environment within a rapidly growing space scale‑up - Challenging projects with real impact on the global space ecosystem - An international and diverse workplace - Comprehensive benefits, Flexible working time schedule and a hybrid work policy to support work‑life balance COMPENSATION & TRANSPARENCY - Reports to: Chief Operational Officer - Internal Job Title: Mission Specialist - Internal Seniority Level: P3- Experienced Professional / P2-Professional - Job location: Lomazzo (Como), Italy (up to 2 remote working days per week) - Salary range: €35,000-40,000 gross annual salary - Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including welfare platform and meal vouchers and access to a learning platform - Expected start date: as soon as possible About Leaf Space Leaf Space is a rapidly growing scale-up company and a leading provider of ground segment as-a-service (GSaaS) solutions.
