We are looking for a senior business consultant specializing in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) to act as the vital bridge between business compliance teams, risk stakeholders, and IT/engineering teams. The ideal candidate should have strong understanding of AML lifecycle like; KYC / CDD / EDD data, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk Rating, Sanctions screening, AML investigations and case management & AML regulatory reporting. Responsibilities - Lead discovery sessions with compliance teams, investigators, and risk leads to define monitoring scopes and operational workflows. Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria. Perform gap analysis: Compare current ("AS-IS") compliance operations with the target ("TO-BE") platform capabilities to highlight missing elements. - Inspect customer, account, and transaction data models from core banking systems; Define how source data fields map into the AML transaction monitoring or screening engine. Run data discovery tasks to identify missing or corrupt historical data fields needed for effective alert generation. - Translate regulatory rules or internal risk mandates into specific transaction monitoring parameters or typology thresholds. Help evaluate vendor product modules against local jurisdictional compliance requirements, eg: define standardization rules, define cleansing rules. Facilitate Alignment between technical producers and business consumers. - Build test plans, create realistic financial crime test cases, and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders. Confirm that monitoring scenarios trigger alerts correctly under test conditions without producing unmanageable false-positive spikes. - Answer functional questions from software developers, data engineers, and quality assurance teams during the build phase. Document constraints, track project assumptions, and manage scope adjustments throughout the project life cycle. Assist the Architects & Developers in discussions/conversations with domain knowledge. - 12+ years of experience in IT as a Business Analyst in Banking/Financial domain. - 3- 7+ years experience in AML/FCC/KYC for a domain-heavy role. - Ability to think from client's business standpoint aligning all program executions to right business outcomes or aligned to business needs. - Proactively able to think through what could be effective for to implement/augment during modernization initiative. - Working familiarity with analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, BI/visualization tools and/or Python. - Excellent communicator who can manage multiple stakeholders and be assertive to get their attention and drive compliance.
